This is Zabaionne, my Christmas Ixi.

Ixis are my favorite species of Neopet (though, fun fact, my first ever Neopet was not an Ixi). Zabaionne alternates between a Christmas Ixi paint job and a Halloween one depending on the time of year or my mood; back when I was a kid, I wanted a Halloween Ixi more than anything in the world, but never got the paint brush. Now I really love the forest-y look of the Christmas Ixi, so I swap back and forth between the two to honor both tastes.Back during peak Neopets era, I read a life-changing multi-chapter fanfic that was published in The Neopian Times where one of the main characters was a Halloween Ixi. I can't remember anything about it, even the plot or the contents, but I would give anything to rediscover it one day. It definitely inpsired my wanting one of my own.

I imagine Zabaionne is from Meridell (land of the Ixis), and is sharp, a little judgmental, and a lot impish.

I unfortunately no longer have my main account from when I was little, so this is my recreation of what I always wanted that one to be. I always had an Ixi.

This is Thesonn, my Tyrannian Lupe.

I always come back to the Lupe species; I had a blue one back in the day. I think I really wanted a faerie or baby paint brush, but nowadays, I love the fluffy, tusky Tyrannian look. Thesonn was the first time I ever got to paint a Neopet!!! I could never accrue any sort of wealth as a kid on Neopets, but they've made it way easier now, so I've set to fulfill all of my dreams of having painted pets.

I imagine Thesonn is stoic but kind.

This is Purrpll, my Ghost Zafara.

My first EVER Neopet as a kid was a green Zafara! When I was in elementary, my best friend's mom was a teacher at our school, so we would stay after for a couple hours until my parents could pick me up. I remember my friend was on Neopets one day on the classroom desktop; I'd never seen it before. She had an Eryie. I was instantly mesmerized. I watched her play, then immediately made my own account when I got home that night. The rest is history. Neopets is top three, maybe top ONE, of all my experiences on the internet. (

I named this Zafara Purrpll, because I'm almost positive either it, or my main account, had the world "purple" spelled weird somewhere in it, so this is an homage. I think back in the day, I wanted either a faerie or island paintbrush for them, but now I really love how big and glassy the red ghost eyes look on them.

I think Purrpll is playful, friendly, and just a little spooky or zoned out sometimes.

This is Nou_nu, my Baby Pteri.

In an effort to pay homage to my original main 4, I decided to get a Pteri as my 4th Neopet for my nostalgia account (by the way, if it isn't clear, I do have all of these Neopets for real - you can visit my account). The Pteri species never meant as much to me as my main three (Ixi, Zafara, and Lupe), but I've always gotten a huge kick out of the fact that the baby paint brush turns it into just an egg (lol) so I happily got one.

Nou-nu is an egg. His personality is egg.

This is Juniper_Salt, my Maraquan Acara.

I'll be honest - I never gave two flips about the Acara. But Maraqua was added to the game during my reign, and I remember my eyes dialating at the concept of a Neopets Atlantis to discover. The Maraquan Acara, in all its tentacled glory, is what I remember as the "flagship" design for the new Maraquan paint brush look, and I became instantly obsessed with it. I would stare at the design endlessly.

So I had to have one when I finally had the funds for it. My dreams finally came true!

I think Juniper_Salt is absent-minded, a little creature-y, and would stare at you with nothing going on behind the eyes until you got uncomfortable and looked away.

Lastly, this is Saalvo, my Maraquan Krawk

Why not two Maraquan Neopets? I don't know if I ever really wanted a Krawk back in the day, but now that I finally have the neopoints to experience exclusive things, a Krawk seemed a fun challenge; plus the fun interaction and exploring you have to do with the map to unlock/get one is really fun and immersive.

I think Saalvo, true to their Krawk Island connections, has a bit of pirate in him. He's an opportunist. A little slimey, a little fun.
